The Annual meeting was held on Sunday January 15th. Great fellowship, good reports, and plenty of Prayers and Praises.
Gifts for our Friends
On Advent 3 we collected and asked God’s Blessing on Christmas gifts contributed by our members for our friends at St. Martin of Tours Mission and Evangel Home in Fresno. May God continue to Bless those who gave and those who receive these gifts. May the Glory of Christ be remembered this season.
Archbishop Beach visit
St. Columba was blessed to host the annual Convention of the Diocese of San Joaquin on October 28/29. The Archbishop was our preacher and meditation leader during convention AND the St. C congregation was blessed to have the Archbishop preach during our regular Sunday services on Sunday October 30.
We provided a sandwich lunch for the convention participants and the picture below is of some of our dedicated Saint C Super Sandwich team.
Operation Christmas Child
After collecting lots of donations and using lots of hands we assembled over 65 ‘shoe boxes’ to be donated to Operation Christmas Child. This international Christian organization distributes these boxes around the world to needy children with the gift and Hope of the Christ child.
Confirmation Service
On Sunday we had a fantastic Confirmation service with Bishop Menees. Congratulations to those Confirmed by the Grace of God, in the Power of the Holy Spirit to the Faith in Jesus Christ. It was a great day.
Trinity Sunday & Tri-Tip Picnic
What better way to celebrate Trinity Sunday than with a Tri-tip picnic. In keeping with the Trinity theme we had 3 meats [Tri-tip, chicken & sausage] and 3 salads [tomato/cucumber, potato, and spinach/strawberry]. A great time was had by all.
ACW Lunch
A fantastic time was had by all at the delicious luncheon held May 7th by the St. Columba ACW. The speaker presented information on the Pop Laval historical photos of Fresno.
